Soft & Warm
Longing for a gaze I found myself tumbling around my thoughts. As a normal practice I would simply daydream about circumstances and reshape old ghosts so they could fit into my current shadow.
I would’ve died just to see faces, just to hear voices. Damn was I alone. And then she stopped me right in my tracks… I found myself a pretty girl in a bright sun dress. She was prettier than May but couldn’t stand still, her kitten heels would blur as soon as my eyes tied to her. I thought she’d surely came to me out of a dream, singing and running like she can’t be as my mind filled with fantasies and I went into a dream; A cloudy day with a fedora and nine stories to share would take us up and above to places we’ve never been, places we’ve never seen.
The pianos melancholic chord struck me into the thicket, the smell of the soil through the snow took me to the sweetness of your sight. As I stared to your motionless figure with your beautiful hair displayed in the chair I heard the words dancing out of your lips like a sad ballet: ‘I want you to take me back to the place where I could feel your heart, if you were to open your eyes you’d find the emptiness coming like a rush of water through your lungs’
The trees started swaying like skeletons, that’s when I found out they were across the water through the window. The cold made me mumble as my hands felt the warm blood straying from my drowned wrists.
